What is the #chooseu challenge?

For 21 days, we are asking you to challenge yourself by readjusting the focus on YOURSELF.

We are asking you to commit 15 minutes a day to self-improvement.

Why should I take the #chooseu challenge?

In a world full of distractions, we often forget to focus on ourselves.
The brain is a powerful muscle, and just like our body, we need to practice strong & positive exercises for good physical and mental health.

We aim to improve people’s lives.  To add discipline to self care.  To help make self betterment available to anyone at anytime.  To improve the self negativity that we all get into and to start celebrating ourselves.  To build a strong community bound together by our vulnerabilities.

STEP 1: BREATHING EXERCISE

  • 4×4 breathing technique
  • This breathing exercise is a simple, easy, and effective way to calm yourself and enjoy a minute of tranquility
  • Slow down the cycle and redirect your thoughts from negative to positive
  • With every breath, think of something you’re thankful for

STEP 2: THE WORKOUT

  • 10 minutes long and can be done anywhere (at home, office, hotel)
  • Time yourself for 10 minutes AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible)
  • 10 squats, 10 sit-ups, 10 mountain climbers, 10 burpees
  • Goal: Do it everyday. Add reps or time or try to beat your score each week if desired. – just be consistent

STEP 3: SELF-REFLECTION

  • In a journal, answer these three questions:
  • What are you grateful for today?
  • What negative thought/feeling can I let go of today?
  • What are you going to accomplish today?
  • After the workout, take note of your headspace, your feelings, and your stress levels
  • By tracking these, you can look back and see your progress and growth
